…It was Morton who stunned U.S. scientists last fall with trace evidence found in wild salmon of a virus that killed millions of farmed fish in Chile.
Researchers from Washington state to Washington, D.C., scrambled to grasp the risks of so-called infectious salmon anemia (ISA), a virus typically linked to fish farms. Congress demanded federal agencies test American fish. Wild-salmon lovers seethed. Leaders of British Columbia’s $500 million-a-year salmon-farming industry scoffed — in part because they so distrust Morton.
Then, just last week, another virus raced through salmon farms at Vancouver Island and Bainbridge Island, forcing operators to kill hundreds of thousands of farmed fish on both sides of the border…

As Alexandra Morton stated there is little money that goes back into the Canadian economy as the fish farms are beholden to their shareholders. Norway does not allow these open net cess pools why do we here? It is time we the consumers voiced our concerns to Fairway and other grocery stores. We need a pamphlet that outlines the detriments of this disgusting practice not only on the human but the animal food chain as well.

2012 is not too bad. The two big LIberal donors are deserving of OBC on their own merit because while Keevil and Khosrowshawi might be very large supporters of the governing party, they've also been important players in the BC economy.
Certainly, the OBC has lost some of its lustre because unworthy recipients in years past but that's no surprise.

Would like to see a comparison chart of donations to the BC Liberal Party by the the 14 recepients of the OBC vs donations to the same party by the POBC nominees.

Perhaps Dr. Morton could publish her findings in the U.S. papers and the bloggers could paste the copy and McRae's censorship would become the laughung stock that he is.
