I remember being somewhat disappointed when Ry Cooder did his first album, the eponymous Airstream trailer cover. I wanted more of his work with Taj Mahal, more “Gone Dead Train”, rock the blues and that. Leadbelly? Woody Guthrie? Got my bigoted ten ears opened some and I've bought everything I can find by him, including some movie music, but I really like his work in collecting and promoting all manner of peoples' music. This is so timely and captures the spirit of the revival of the Depression that we are currently witnessing. your posting this music is a comment in itself, Thanks.
