Canada’s radical makeover

Michael Harris is author of Party of One, published by Viking Canada. he is

a writer, journalist, and documentary filmmaker. He was awarded a Doctor of Laws for his “unceasing pursuit of justice for the less fortunate among us.” His eight books include Justice Denied, Unholy Orders, Rare ambition, Lament for an Ocean, and Con Game. His work has sparked four commissions of inquiry, and three of his books have been made into movies.

See if you can listen to the entire segment and not have a Howard Beale moment.

  1. Thank you for posting this. I have read Harris's book “Party of One” and if Canadians finally do wake up in 2015 and throw Harper out it will be in no small part because of Michael Harris who in his writings reveals who Harper really is and what it means that he is our PM.

  2. Thanks Norm
Without a doubt the most informative video I have ever seen on Stephen Harper.
Twenty five minutes well spent. Gave me shivers!

  3. And yet so many Canadians will turn a blind eye and still vote for these crooked, evil people because they'd rather believe the lies and spin than have faith that Canada can be better.

  4. One has to watch this a couple of times to fully comprehend what most thinking Canadians already suspected about this depraved creature we call a Prime Minister. Michael Harris is a true Canadian hero for exposing this lying slime ball for what he really is. Very frightening.
I couldn't help but observe Harper's appearance at the World Junior Hockey Gold Cup game. When he came up on the TV screen he looked out of place appearing like a dark evil specter.

  5. Nope, couldn't do it.

My neighbour came by for a Sunday chat and saw Harris's book which I'd just purchased; told me he's about half way through but can only do three pages at a go—some of us gotta avoid too many Beale moments in one day.

  6. I would invite anyone who doesn’t think Gordon Campbell ran his operation the same way Harper runs his to read the 22 April 2012 Supreme Court affidavit (No. S-117635) sworn by John van Dongen seeking intervener status in the Auditor General’s petition on the Basi/Virk payoff. Sections 31 through 33 are particularly instructive.

Given her track record since in office there is no reason to believe Christy Clark takes a back seat to either Campbell or Harper in steamrolling over lives, careers, or the integrity of our public institutions.

  7. A comment that stands out from a previous post is:
Let's make one thing clear here, it is not CANADA that is stopping NAFTA from doing studies on pollution from the tar sands, it is the conservative government and Alberta. Don't worry they have a plan, which is to lie about it now and make future generations suffer the consequences later.
