I am proud to be associated with a newly incorporated non-profit with ambitious goals. All readers of IN-SIGHTS are invited to participate. The following is from the Canada West Forum website:
This group is a non-profit incorporated under the Societies Act of British Columbia. It was established:
To organize non-partisan forums for civil dialogue and to support learning about the humanities and social, physical, and formal sciences. Virtual and in-person forums shall introduce knowledgeable panels and expert guests and encourage the exchange of ideas with audience members.
The society aims to increase understanding of the causes and consequences of collective actions taken by people and institutions that exercise authority and influence. CWF supports educational organizations and individuals who promote lifelong learning.

People from large and small communities throughout British Columbia established this organization. Our objective is to have a group that reflects the diversity of our province.
Canada West Forum is moving forward. Let us know if we can add your name to our group. Follow THIS LINK to support our effort and acquire a 2025 membership for only $10.
The more people involved, the more effective we can be. Please consider friends and associates and invite people to support this group and participate at any level. It would be great to have young adults involved since a few of the organizers are in the second half of life, and their goal is to leave a better world for future generations.
We expect to assign researchers and a coordinator for each forum. Panel members and guests will hold informative, non-partisan, conflict-free conversations.
An effective online forum requires excellent technical quality. At a minimum, that means the use of professional-level webcams and microphones. Subject to further examination, it seems riverside.fm might be the best platform for recording multi-channel audio and 4K video. We will hire a professional editor to prepare programs.
These objectives require financial resources. Our preference is to avoid commercial sponsorships and seek funding from a community-minded granting agency. Once established, the society will apply to CRA for charitable status. With a large enough audience, income can be realized from distribution platforms such as YouTube.
Directors will not be paid for Board duties. If realized, funds surplus to the costs of forums and society administration will be applied to educational purposes as directed by members.
