Points to ponder

I’ve been working with a group of people to launch CANADA WEST FORUM. Busy days are further complicated by the recent onset of sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSHL). It is easing with treatment. For me, the discomforts of advancing age are more than balanced by observing young family members reach or near the age of majority. It is gratifying when they show themselves to be people of high character.

Nevertheless, deafness has not stopped me from reading widely. Anyone not anxious about our future is not paying attention.

Despite the dangers that arise as Trump’s crime family takes revenge on perceived enemies, political illustrators pull few punches. There may be none better than Canadian Michael de Adder.

This one truly illustrates the decline of Legacy Media in the USA.

The following are several other images that caught my attention. Unfortunately, they remind me that civilization is not advancing in 2025. It is degrading instead.

Homeland Security Secretary Cosplay Kristi
Paul K. Abbott, “Following the latest school shooting, Republicans, with the backing of the National Rifle Association, are crafting a proposal to ban schools.”

  1. Greatly enjoyed your cartoon broadside. Thank you!

Curious note: de Adder was sacked. The reason why is telling.

Michael de Adder — the Canadian cartoonist at the centre of a global censorship scandal — has opened up about his sensational, public “fight” with his employer.

Mr de Adder, from the Canadian province of New Brunswick, made headlines around the world this week after his contract with a Canadian media company was terminated just 24 hours after he released a cartoon criticising US President Donald Trump.

We both have been pondering human political behaviour for longer than most humans have been alive. Employing words.

It wasn’t until a friend handed me a collection of New Yorker cartoons that it dawned on me… words can be perfectly inefficient compared to simple images.. and simple sentences.

For examples pls. see attached.. espcially the post concerning how people in the Ozarks understand politics.
