I’m having problems finding new posts for RossK’s blog, Pacific Gazetter, nothing appears to be posted since the 1 Jan post and something prevents me from either posting or sending an email. I know its me, not the blog) Any help would be appreciated. Can I just start a new name and pass word or do you prefer people keep their “name” and just try to get a new p assword established. apparently this maybe caused by my new diagnosis of diabetes. I’m assured it will clear up once my diabetes is under control. Who would have thought I’d get that, not me. Oh well old age has some surprises for me I guess. Thank you for any suggestions or information you can provide.

Good luck in dealing with health issues. Don’t worry about RossK’s Pacific Gazetteer. He holds a demanding position in academia, and there are times when he has little capacity to feed content to his blog. But Pacific Gazetteer has been around for a long time, and I am sure we will be reading new materials in the future.
Different websites have their own set of rules for leaving comments. My platform looks at email addresses and if comments associated with that address have been approved previously, the comment will be posted immediately. If it is the first comment from that email address, it will be held for moderation.
Every comment that contains an external link is held for moderation. Legitimate comments can be lost if the system judges it to be one of the hundreds of spam items received each month. I try to examine the spam folder before it is emptied, but the volume of junk makes that difficult. If you send a comment, and it is not posted fairly immediately, email me, and I will try to make it right.
