1. If George Carlin was a scholar in Confucian China he’d fit nicely into a period of history when “The Rectification Of Names” attempted to confront chronic institutional corruption operating within a dysfunctional state of lies and misrepresentation.

   The original meaning may have been very simple: Confucius did not wish to establish a standard system of names. Rather, he was simply the first person in history to realize the importance of language in politics. As a politician, Confucius noticed and foresaw the influence that the indeterminacy, ambiguity, and arbitrariness of names could have on politics. He discerned the political consequences when language could not accurately express meaning or when there was no way for people to accurately perceive it. He also recognized how names, as a way of clarifying right and wrong and establishing norms, could have a great effect on a society’s politics. Although Confucius noted that disunity in speech could lead to disunity in politics, he did not propose a solution.

   During performances Mr. Carlin not only provided lists of interlocking accusations he also attacked the language used to gloss over gross injustices. A deceitful practice so crucial to maintaining Political status that it made him very angry.

3. It speaks ill of how the world has been reduced to internet memes, likes and followers
   as the Trump crime family and it’s followers rape the worlds economies.
   We have become a world that lacks substance , morality and empathy , a world where wealth is valued more than anything else.
   It used to be that with great wealth came great responsibility , but not anymore.
   Great wealth now means even greater wealth , less responsibility and less morality.
   We once said; cheer up it will become better!
   But it hasn’t , its much worse and worsening daily.
   When Trump is gone, MAGA will live on and when MAGA is weakened the isolationist Democrats will take over an inch below the MAGA demands of the world.
   It will not end well.
