Carlin was special in the he made us laugh at things that aren’t funny. Lots of Cassandras out there, going back in history and right up to the author of this blog, and true to the story of Cassandra, few are paying attention. Those of us who do pay attention must not be the right people, having so little ability to bend the arc of public policy. Must keep at it, though.
