Some who favour right wing politics believe in protecting the unborn, but vehemently oppose protection of children already born. This is largely an American problem, where guns overtook car crashes to become the leading cause of death for US children and teenagers in 2020.
But this is something that Poilievre’s Conservatives would bring to Canada if given the opportunity.
Instead of emulating American gun culture, Canadian voters should turn away from politicians who want to weaken or eliminate the already inadequate controls exercised over firearms in Canada.

Dr. Andrews found out that, in South Carolina at least, playing politics for the children (born or unborn) instead of with the children is a distinction without a difference. Money talks. And so did Lindsey Graham, the Republican senator from SC, during her election campaign.
She also seems to have learned that she might not be devious enough to be a successful politician, and as in other pursuits it’s best to let the singers sing and the dancers dance. I wish her good luck in her new role raising money to achieve her worthwhile goals through a PAC.

Here at home, as Norm warns us, there is a group of politicians ready to turn Canada into a northern version of South Carolina, or even a deeper south replica than that, and they are led by someone definitely devious enough for the job.

The question I would like to ask, how many guns used in murder or attempted murder in Canada, were illegally imported from the USA?
Hand guns are restricted weapons with a lot of paperwork and show-cause to own one and automatic and semi automatic weapons are illegal.
The new and very dangerous wrinkle in this is computer printed guns now available.
I understand that the weapons used in Nova Scotia mass murder in 2020 were illegal imported from the USA.
The USA has become an exporter of Murder Inc.
