A comment by Tom Rand, the resident clean tech advisor at MaRS discovery district in Toronto. His life’s work is pushing the needle on carbon and he presents some very practical ways we can make changes now to wean ourselves of carbon at a profit.
I don’t think the climate scientists are wrong but let’s just say all the paranoid conspiracy theorists are right and climate science is wrong.
Oops, we accidentally made ourselves more energy secure, we cleaned our air and created jobs for no good reason.

The global warming controversy includes a variety of disputes about the nature, causes, and consequences of global warming. The debates are more in the popular media than in the scientific literature. The disputed issues involve the causes of increased global average air temperature, especially since the mid-20th century, whether such a warming trend is unprecedented or within normal climatic variations, whether humankind has contributed significantly to it, and whether the increase is wholly or partially an artifact of poor measurements

In the United States, the mass media devoted little coverage to global warming until the drought of 1988, and James E. Hansen's testimony to the Senate, which explicitly attributed “the abnormally hot weather plaguing our nation” to global warming.[8]
The British press also changed its coverage at the end of 1988, following a speech by Margaret Thatcher to the Royal Society advocating action against human-induced climate change.[9] According to Anabela Carvalho, an academic analyst, Thatcher's “appropriation” of the risks of climate change to promote nuclear power, in the context of the dismantling of the coal industry following the 1984-1985 miners' strike was one reason for the change in public discourse. At the same time environmental organizations and the political opposition were demanding “solutions that contrasted with the government's. Many European countries took action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions before 1990. West Germany started to take action after the Green Party took seats in Parliament in the 1980s. All countries of the European Union ratified the 1997 Kyoto Protocol.

Harper is merging Canada in with Communist China. Harper has permitted China, to buy up huge chunks of the dirty tar sands. China controls Harper and our Canadian resources, oil, gas, mines, and our timber. Everything of value in this country, is gone.
Communist China has hacked into other country's secret files. Seems, it was a very bad mistake, for country's to buy their electronic components from Communist China. The U.S. is very concerned, about their country's security. There are many country's angry with Communist China, many country's angry at Harper. Communist China, Russia, Syria, Iran and Harper are all allies. No country is taking MacKay's asinine posturing very seriously. His military bases, he wants to set up around the world, is seen as a joke.
