The following item was found on the internet. Unlikely any of it is true, but it is amusing.

I was at the McDonald’s Drive Thru and gave the cashier a $5 bill. Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her 25¢. She said, “You gave me too much money.” I replied, “Yes I know, but this way you can just give me a dollar back.”

She sighed and got the manager. Heo asked me to repeat my request. I did so. He handed me back the 25¢, and said, “Sorry, but we don’t do that kind of thing.” The cashier then gave me 75¢ in change.

We had to have the garage door repaired. The technician told us the motor on the opener was not large enough. I thought for a moment and said that it was 1/2 horsepower, which is common.

He shook his head and said, “You need a 1/4 horsepower.” I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He replied, “No, four is
larger than two.”

We have not used that repair person since.

I live in a semi rural area. Recently, a new neighbor asked the city to remove the DEER CROSSING sign on our road. The reason: “Too many deer are being hit by cars! I don’t think this is a good place for them to be crossing.”

My daughter went to a Mexican fast food and ordered a taco. She asked the clerk for minimal lettuce. He said he was sorry, but they only had iceberg lettuce.

I was checking in at the airport when a security employee asked, “Has anyone put anything in your baggage without your knowledge?” To which I replied, “If it was without my knowledge, how would I know?”

The pedestrian light on the corner beeps when it is safe to cross the street. I was crossing with a co-worker. She asked if I knew what the beeper was for.

I explained that it signals blind people when the light is red. Appalled, she responded, “Why on earth are blind people driving?’ She is a government employee.

When my wife and I arrived to get our car after service, a dealership person said our keys had been locked inside the vehicle.

We went to the service department and found a mechanic working to unlock the driver’s side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked.

I said to the technician, “Hey, it’s open!” His reply, “I know. I already did that side.”

STAY ALERT! They walk among us, they breed, and they vote…

  1. This is a true story, the names have been changed to protect the innocent.

3 weeks ago my son was seriously injured playing sports and I rushed him to the closest Emrgency. An ambulance was phoned but was told it would take over an hour and as the Emerg was 10 minutes away, we loaded him into the car and off we went.

Once there I asked for a wheelchair and the response was “why?” Which I replied he cannot walk and we needed a wheelchair.

This was a Fraser Health run hospital. I quickly responded that if there was no wheelchair how about a gurney as he was in pain and cannot walk.

I was told; “if he cannot walk, call an ambulance!” I replied we are at the front door, I just need a wheelchair.

After 10 minutes a wheelchair was found, loaded my son onto the chair and wheeled him to be admitted.

Once admitted, I was told to return the wheelchair as it was needed elsewhere and I said, “he cannot walk, how are we going to be looked at when called?” if you want the chair, you better get two orderlies to lift him out and onto a regular chair.”

Undaunted, said Fraser health employee demanded my son to vacate the chair or she would call security. Getting pissed off, I said do that and they can lift him off the chair.

Fraser health employee retreated and we were left for 5 hours until he was seen, a cast put on and they said they arranged my for my son to see a specialist at our local hospital some 8o km away.

Arriving Monday morning at our local hospital, we were told that 1) No phone call was received; 2) my son had to be referred by his doctor and 3) if you want to be seen wait in line.

Another 5 hours we waited and seen by our local emerge doctor who looked at the X-Rays and said the other Emerge had done it all wrong and now there some serious issues to be dealt with.

We are now three weeks in, my so has a cast for the next 3 months, goes to physio @ $90 a shot every week and we have been booked to see a specialist in 3 weeks!!!

This is Fraser Health and these guys could not operate a peanut stand. And I would like to mention, our Emerge has wheelchairs a plenty.
